We’re thrilled to reveal our latest apparel fabrics collection for Autumn/Winter 23/24, including new additions to the Vivid Hues Melton and Duffle Stripe ranges. Alongside this, our annual colour inspiration edit has launched ahead of the new season, featuring colour insights for menswear and womenswear.
At Hainsworth, we are committed to our heritage and are passionate about championing a slower fashion industry, whilst acknowledging that this must be finely balanced with innovation and the evolving needs of our customers. This year, colour forecasts for the coming season have inspired six colour inspiration collections, which have been edited using the entire range of Hainsworth cloth.
From daring bold shades to muted tones and classic monochrome, the latest colour inspiration edit for autumn/winter 23/24 has been created to inspire fashion designers and showcase the diverse range of shades and finishes offered by Hainsworth.
Electropop
Hot Pink, Amethyst and Jade vie for attention in this bright, bold collection. Black adds much-needed depth while neutral Mist provides relief. Hints of Cobalt and Gold complete the collection, forming a daring palette not for the faint hearted.
Luxe Earth
Rich Cardamom and Camel are paired with deep Nimrod red and Petrol blue, emanating warmth and intensity. Cappuccino and khaki add depth, while pure white completes the opulent autumnal palette.
Romanticist
Muted blues and soft neutrals work together in harmony, evoking romance and whimsy. Primrose and Sunset add energy and impact to the joyful palette, while cool White calms and balances.
High Contrast
Traditional Scarlet and AAC Blue are juxtaposed with contemporary Jade and Vintage Orange to create a bold collection of colours. Deep maroon, black and white provide an injection of relief in this highly contrasted, energetic palette.
Achromatic
A desaturated palette of greys and neutrals from White to Black and everything in between. Cloud and Ascot Grey provide depth while Husky and dark Grey Melange add intensity. This classic, masculine collection is finished with Truffle, injecting much needed warmth.
Experimental
Natural pigments are intensified in this artisanal collection of colours. Deep Nimrod red and POW Gold are balanced with neutral Bark and Cardamom. Moss Green and Ocean finish the muted, yet eccentric palette.
Colour research is an important annual project at Hainsworth, not just to inform colour inspiration collections, but to understand and uncover key colours that might be missing from the range. This season, we have added four new shades: Amethyst, Jade, Desert Stripe and Jewel Stripe.
Amethyst and Jade, two key shades for the coming season, join the Vivid Hues Melton collection. These colours connect to holistic well-being and optimism, evoking stability, serenity, and balance. Woven from 100% Merino wool, these fabrics are suitable for accessories, menswear, and womenswear, with trans-seasonal appeal.

Duffle Stripes take the classic Duffle cloth and add colour and design for a modern twist. The two new stock-supported designs, Desert Stripe and Jewel Stripe are woven from luxurious Merino wool with Nylon for added durability. Our team can also create customers’ own bespoke striped design, with minimum weaving quantities.
