Burlington Arcade and Joshua Kane have proudly launched the new Burlington Beadle Uniforms, featuring Hainsworth Maroon Doeskin for the Beadles’ beautifully tailored morning coats.
Crafted and designed by renowned British tailor, Joshua Kane, this collaboration represents a fresh reinterpretation of “The Mayfair Dandy”.
Since opening in 1819, Burlington Arcade has been patrolled by the Burlington Beadles, who uphold a strict code of conduct. The Arcade maintains its own distinctive etiquette to this day, rigorously enforced by the Beadles.
“It’s truly an honour to announce that over the past year I have been redesigning the famous Burlington Beadles uniforms. The eponymous Beadles of Burlington Arcade have been the cornerstone of Mayfair for 205 years, and the new design is the first in over a decade” – Joshua Kane
Kane’s design is inspired by sartorial Mayfair characters such as Oscar Wilde and is crafted from rich British woven fabrics in sumptuous shades of burgundy and navy, and adorned with exquisite gold buttons featuring the Burlington Rosette. The uniform reinterprets timeless elegance for the modern era.
As a heritage company, Hainsworth are proud to see our fabrics being featured in this wonderful collaboration between Burlington Arcade and Joshua Kane.
