Lee Marsh

The Savile Row Tailor.

Savile Row tailoring gets casual with the brand new collection of made-to-order bomber jackets created by gifted tailor, Lee Marsh, in collaboration with AW Hainsworth.

Created from the iconic Pilot Cloth, and designed as legacy pieces to last a lifetime and beyond, Lee is offering three ready-to-wear options under his Marsh label. These classically stylish bombers, available as both single and double breasted styles, merge the hard-to-negotiate border between true tailoring and dressed down casual.

Lee’s debut collection of ready-to-wear bombers mix the lustre, drape and attention to detail that comes with a tailored jacket or coat, with the fluid lines and casual ethos that is the hallmark of today’s more casual approach to dressing. Master craftsman touches include a floating chest panel for a comfortable, softly tailored fit, hand sewn linings, a structured shoulder line with no pads, and two perfect pleats at the back for movement and drape.

Lee’s aesthetic stems from his own personal history and experience, working for legendary Savile Row brands from Tom Brown and Henry Pool to Gieves, catering to discerning men who appreciate fine style. Dapper gents from Prince Charles to Johnny Depp trust Lee to create modern and lovingly created garments.

Lee uses only British cloth and components in his collections, and the Pilot cloth from Hainsworth, traditionally used by sea men for its hardwearing and windproof properties is beautifully re-worked in this new bomber style in heritage shades of Madder Red, Camel, and Royal Navy.

Lee says: “Having worked with Hainsworth since my early days at Gieves & Hawkes, I really appreciate how their history and heritage informs their brand while remaining true and modern.

I’m excited by this launch as it reflects the way men are dressing today. Many of my customers have a “working uniform” of strict tailoring during the week and desire something for their weekend wardrobe that offers the comfort and design qualities of a Savile Row coat but in a more casual cut.”
