Repellency Testing
Some fabrics need to have good repellency to water, liquid chemicals e.g. petrol, acids etc. or oils dependant upon the actual end use of the garment. This test measures a fabric’s ability to withstand penetration and absorption by liquids and its ability to repel them. Our fabrics are given special finishes to improve their repellency and are regularly tested before and after washing (sometimes up to 30 washes) and assessed for appearance, shrinkage or durability of the special finish.
