Green abrasive Regular cleaning with these will help keep the ironer chests free from build up of starch or over-waxing deposits. Standard size 40" x 68" (100mm x 170mm).

Black abrasive  Silicon Carbide type with extreme abrasive properties. This is best used for removing the most stubborn ironer chest deposits. Due to the very high abrasion, this product should be used with great care to avoid soiling ironer clothing, and is best applied before reclothing the ironer when any excessive deposits can be allowed to stain the old clothing before its removal. The ironer should be effectively waxed after using any abrasive before re-starting production.

Blue steel wool abrasive. These premium bed cleaners are the most effective way of regularly cleaning the ironer chests. Six wide steel wool strips thoroughly clean off stubborn deposits without damaging the ironing surface. There are followed by three transverse cleaning pads to remove any loose particles. This cleaner is suitable for use by production staff on a regular basis and has proved very long lasting so is economical in use.

Red stainless steel abrasive. Similar to the blue type above but with stainless steel for use on Kannegiesser® HPM thin bed ironers.

Clean Paste is a new concept in the maintenance of ironers. Regardless of which wax or lubricant is used, due to the combination of heat, lint residues, alkali or carbonised powder waxes, a deposit is always possible on the chest.  This deposit accumulates particularly on spots between chests and gap pieces where the work being ironed does not touch metal.
