Nomex® is inherently flame-resistant and won’t melt, drip or support combustion in the air. The thermal protection offered by Nomex® is permanent - its superior flame resistance cannot be washed out or worn away. Nomex® chars and consolidates when exposed to intense heat, increasing the protective barrier between the heat source and the skin and minimizing burn injury.

Hainsworth can offer a range of different finishes to meet the requirements and standards of your specific end use. Complimented by our in house UKAS accredited laboratory, Hainsworth have a rolling programme designed to improve the durability, chemical run off, spray rating, and handle of our finishes. Hainsworth® REPEL+ finish provides an invisible barrier around each fibre of the fabric and has been designed to provide the first line of defence against a range of hazardous chemicals that may be encountered by Riot Police or Fire Fighters. At Hainsworth we test the finish in our own UKAS accredited laboratory to guarantee its performance. It is a durable finish that will last for more than 30 wash dry/cycles and has added stain resistance to aid garment cleaning. Please enquire for further details.
