Hainsworth have retained the Met Police PSU tender with 1250 heavyweight TITAN through S Yaffy Ltd. This is for single layer riot suits and has been updated to include two piece coveralls, which are more comfortable and easy to wear, particularly for the female offices.
The contract should roll out across all 18,000 staff over the next five years and be worth in the region of £2m if uptake is as predicted. This gives a big vote of confidence in our product as no better alternatives have come to light since the first tender was awarded in 2004.
