Following the overwhelming response to launching the woollen coffins to the UK market, Hainsworth Coffins has gone global!
Hainsworth Coffins exhibited at the National Funeral Director Association International Convention and Expo, held in Boston on 26th to 28th October 2009, trading under Hainsworth Caskets USA. The response to the natural alternative was phenomenal! Comments from the show included ‘ I have never seen anything like it’, ‘it is a beautiful, much softer alternative to some of the larger steel caskets’ and ‘it is the most exciting thing to happen in the funeral market for years!”
The stand was beautifully designed showing a range of adult and child caskets and was inundated with interest throughout the 3 days of the show. As the Hainsworth Caskets stand was positioned in a corner, there was initial worry that we would miss the main flow of traffic. This was not an issue as the hype surrounding the new innovative concept spread around the show hall and we ran out of our Hainsworth Coffin canvas bags and Child Casket brochures half way through the second day!
Boston Globe!
Hainsworth Caskets attracted much media coverage throughout the show, including being mentioned in the Boston Globe write up following the first day, which stated:
“Hainsworth has been around tad longer than that. The English company has been making woollen uniforms for the British Army since the Battle of Waterloo (and currently makes the outfits worn by the Beefeaters). This year, they began using the wool to make a 100% biodegradable coffins (all sizes, including pet-sized).
Hainsworth Coffins are now looking forward to launching the woollen coffins in France at the Funeraire show in Paris on 19th-21st November 2009.
