Yorkshire Wool Week Feature In Twist Magazine

The Wool Week collection by Huddersfield University fashion students

To concide with UK Wool Week a series of events took place at Armley Mills, Leeds Industrial Museum, in celebration of Yorkshire Wool Week.

The ‘Behind the Seams’ gallery, curated by Leeds Fashion Works, opened its doors to six Huddersfield University graduate fashion students showcasing modern, wearable garments designed using Hainsworth’s scarlet and black Doeskin cloth. The Doeskin is traditionally used for military mess dress and garments, such as those worn by Prince William on his wedding day. It is also supplied to international luxury brands along with cutting edge, independent British designers such as Christopher Raeburn. Kate Duckworth, (BA Hons Fashion, Manufacture, Marketing and Promotion) created a red sculptured skirt and leather military jacket with white oversized cuffs.
