The John Atkinson by Hainsworth® Duchess is a stunning collection manufactured from a fine blend which is beautifully soft and luxurious. The Duchess blanket is our most popular choice of blanket and is available in a classic colour palette with coordinating satin binding all round the blanket. This is a lovely medium weight merino blanket, and is ideal for cooler months and is light enough to layer to achieve your ideal sleeping temperature.

John Atkinson by Hainsworth® blankets are a sub brand of Hainsworth and our blankets are manufactured using only the finest wool blends. From the very beginning of the process we ensure that only the best natural fibres are used to create our beautiful blankets. All of our woollen blankets are manufactured from raw wool to hand finished blanket at our mill in West Yorkshire enabling us complete control of the full process. Wool is 100% natural and is nature’s performance fibre being one of the earth’s most sustainable resources.

We strongly believe that woollen blankets are the ultimate bedding option. Recent scientific research has shown that when sleeping under wool your heart rate lowers resulting in a more relaxed and rested condition and a more refreshed feeling on awakening. Wool is also breathable keeping you cool when it is hot and warm when it is cold and unlike duvets you can layer blankets to create the ultimate sleeping environment for you.
