Graham Hutton, Production Director
Born in Halifax in 1969, Graham has worked in textiles for over 20 years, covering a variety of roles. Graham started as a dyer with Leonard Ingham & Co (part of the Leeds Group) in 1986, where he progressed to become the dyehouse manager.
In 1997, Graham moved on to become Technical Product Development Manager with H. Armitage (part of S. Jerome’s & Sons), followed by Dyehouse Production Manager for Saxon Mill, which merged with Nichol & Pratt. Graham was then tasked by the Leeds Group, to establish a dyehouse and continuous scouring range at Schofield Cloth Finishers in Galashiels, which has now become Schofield Dyers and Finishers.
Moving back to Halifax, Graham joined Heritage Cashmere Ltd as Production Manager in 2001, progressing to Associate Operations Director. Following this Graham was invited to join James Walkers & Sons Ltd to manage FR Services Ltd, their knitted Proban Company, and through further progression became the Operations Manager for the group in 2004. Looking for a change of scenery Graham then moved to Smiths of Peterhead and became Sales Manager for JC Rennie yarns.
A change in personal life saw a period with Sheffield Council, before finally joining A W Hainsworth & Sons Ltd in 2006 as Front End Production Manager. Over the intervening period he became responsible for managing more of the company’s production before becoming Operations Controller in 2008. In June 2010 Graham was promoted to Production Director.
Graham lives in Halifax with his partner Liz and his two sons Christopher and Frazer from a previous relationship. In his leisure time Graham enjoys reading and is a Scout leader with the 7th St Georges Scout group and Chairman of the 26th Bradshaw Scout group.
